Hello, Movie Mavens! Welcome back to the B Movies Blog. Today, we’re popping some of my favorite horror video games into the ol’ VCR.
One thing you should know about me is that I love watching video game playthroughs but don’t enjoy actually playing. I’ll watch silent and commentary videos alike. I’ll even watch multiple YouTubers playthrough the game if I really enjoy it.
Over the years, there have been a few games/series that have really stood out, so I’m going to throw out a handful of the games I love watching/tend to revisit playthroughs of. And listen, fam, I’m going to reiterate that I don’t consider myself to be a gamer by any means. I know there are SO MANY horror games out there. Just remember that when you read this list.
The last bit of business we need to get out of the way re: video games is that Trixie Mattel’s cover of “Video Games” is better than the original Lana Del Rey version, and I said what I said.
Poppy Playtime: I think we took a wrong turn on the way to Sesame Street.
Until Dawn: Choose Your Own Adventure, but murder.
The Quarry: Choose Your Own Adventure, but werewolf.
Killer Frequency: FM actually stands for “Future Murders.”
Remember Betty Spaghetty? This is her now. Feel old yet?
Five Nights At Freddy’s: I still think Chuck E. Cheese is worse.
Bendy and the Ink Machine: More like SCREAMboat Willie.
Love, Sam: I would say I’d be mortified if anyone found my journal, but I’ve been blogging online since I was 19.
GWAR looks great!
